“Since the early stages of development in 2021 and the public demo release in 2022, we've established a close-knit connection with our player base, who actively playtested the game and provided valuable feedback. By regularly updating the demo with new content, features, and art, we've been able to refine the gameplay experience with the community’s insight at every step of the way. Early Access will allow our small indie studio to continue this collaborative process, in line with our long-term vision.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We have a ton of content planned for Aloft. We intend to include brand new game mechanics, more explorable biomes, meteorological events, building types, challenges to overcome, and much more. We also plan to deliver quality of life improvements, such as optimization and new user interfaces. Most importantly, getting the game in your hands will provide us with an amazing wealth of information about what works and what can be improved. This can help us to deliver a full version with more content, which would be greatly refined through community feedback and iteration.”

“The current state of Aloft is a solid base for an exploration-focused crafting, building, open-world sandbox survival game. It has been designed to accommodate the addition of more intricate features and systems in the future. The Early Access version includes the following:

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Maintaining an open and transparent dialogue with our community is a top priority for us. Through playtests, surveys, and the public demo, we have actively engaged with our players to gather valuable feedback, which has been and will continue to be integral to our development process, especially as we release future patches.Our Discord server is the best way to share feedback directly with the developers. Additionally, we monitor our Steam discussions and social media platforms. We have also added an in-game bug reporting tool, allowing players to submit reports directly to our database, complete with their player log and an optional screenshot.”
