Why Early Access?

“Incursion Red River was released as a demo in 2023 to let everyone know that a co-op extraction shooter was being made. Now, we’re at a point where we’re ready for mass player feedback and playtesting. Having the community be a part of the game’s development is something we’ve always wanted. We will be able to see the game's direction unfold, listen to feedback, and ensure the game is fun, polished, and bug-free as possible before it fully launches.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our target is for Incursion Red River to be in Early Access for 2 years. This target was estimated with our current rate of progress, estimated budget, and team size. We hope going into Early Access may accelerate the timeline through financial support.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will encompass a full-scale tactical first-person shooter. We plan on including dozens of weapons from varying cultural manufacturing styles, hundreds of attachments, and a thrilling extraction gameplay loop with an intriguing plot, deep lore, and a beautiful landscape to navigate through. We want to add more maps, more missions, and a larger scale of content overall. We’d also like to widen the mechanics of the game, from movement to combat. We plan on overhauling existing features such as third person animations, and AI. With Incursion Red River, we want to deliver an exclusively singleplayer and coop extraction shooter in a modern military setting.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version contains the core gameplay loop for both solo and coop.

“Even before our demo, the community has played a major role in the development of the game. We have an active community that constantly helps us out.

- Our Twitter profile is a great place to get public news on the game, as well as teasers for upcoming developments of the game.
