Why Early Access?

“We want to give gamers the opportunity to help us shape Winter Survival and participate in its development. While we have a solid plan on how to expand the game during Early Access, we also planned for plenty of time to react to feedback from gamers and make improvement or changes accordingly. We believe that survival games uniquely fit the concept of Early Access and gain great benefits from gamers participating in shaping the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Winter Survival is planned to spend at the very least one year in Early Access, but depending on feedback from the playerbase it might expand that time further.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will contain all the content and features added during Early Access as well as all the suggested changes and additions from the player base.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is a fully playable game where players can experience first two ACTs of Winter Survival's story mode. Apart from that, there are also two game modes available for players to try: Survival Mode and Cold Wave mode. Subsequent areas and additional mechanics will be added in regular updates planned every 8 weeks, with the first massive update to the game’s world just weeks after entering Early Access.

Winter Survival certainly isn’t one of those game where there is a bit of this and a bit of that and game is actually just at the start of its development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price for Winter Survival. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will post regular updates on the progress and development on the Steam forum and use that forum as our main way to communicate with the community. We intend to actively participate in all discussions and evaluate the improvements and suggestions gamers are going to make and give our feedback accordingly.”

Winter Survival may contain content that is not appropriate for all ages. The game contains bad language in the form of the protagonist cursing. It also contains visual violence towards animals and blood (hunting wild animals for survival or getting injured).
